MCC Multan collects Rs 53.005 billion taxes during fiscal year 2014-15‏

MULTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate Multan has collected taxes amounting to Rs 53.005 billion throughout the fiscal year 2014-15.

The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected customs duty of Rs 9200.149 million during the fiscal year 2014-15. The Model Customs Collectorate Multan has achieved 100% revenue collection target of customs duty during the month of June, 2015. The MCC Multan has collected customs duty of almost Rs 1493.44 million in the month of June during fiscal year 2014-15. Almost 101% collection of customs duty target has witnessed in the month of June during the fiscal year 2014-15.

MCC Multan has collected sales tax of Rs 28208.403 million from the import of various products during the economic year 2014-15. Multan Customs has collected almost 100% revenue target of the sales tax during the fiscal year 2014-15.The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan was assigned sales tax target of Rs 28100.470 million for the fiscal year 2014-15. The model of Customs Collectorate Multan has surpassed the 100% target of sales tax in the fiscal year 2014-15.The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected Rs 3244.83 million against the set target of Rs 2334.770 million in the month of June by achieving 139% sales tax .The model of Customs Collectorate Multan has attained 13.23 % greater revenue in terms of sales tax target as compared to fiscal year 2013-14.

The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has composed Rs 24912.86 million sales taxes in the month of fiscal year 2013-14 while in the fiscal year 2014-15 MCC Multan has collected almost sales tax of Rs 28208.403 million.

While the Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected federal excise duty of Rs 218.59 million during the fiscal year of 2014-15.The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected the Rs 34.04 million against the target of Rs 39.470 million during the month of June .The model of Customs Collectorate Multan has attained the 86% set target during the month of June.

The model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected withholding tax of  almost Rs 393.46 million against the set target of Rs 336.72 million during the fiscal year 2014-15.The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected almost the 117% target of the withholding taxes in the fiscal year 2014-15.The model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected Rs 309.761 million in the fiscal year 2013-14.Almost 27.02 %  withholding tax increase has been observed in the fiscal year 2014-15 as compared to fiscal year 2013-14.

The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected the Rs 14985.124 million petroleum levies in the fiscal year 2014-15. The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has witnessed the 42.91% increase in the fiscal year 2014-15.The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan collected Rs 10485.495 million petroleum levies during the fiscal year 2013-14.The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected almost the Rs 46720.583 million during the fiscal year 2013-14. While the Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected the Rs.53005.73 million total taxes during the fiscal year 2014-15.  The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan was assigned the target of Rs 42265.550 million for the fiscal year 2014-15.

Multan Customs collected 97% revenue of their set target from the import revenue of high speed diesel and due to decrease in the petroleum prices the revenue of the MCC Multan was also decreased. But after the increase in the sale tax of the petroleum products the recovery of revenue collection was mended well. Import of electronics/home appliances and textile machinery/spare parts from Multan has also increased the revenue collection in the fiscal year 2014-15. Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich told Customs Today that MCC Multan could increase by 100 percent revenue annually if the Sher Shah Multi model transportation hub can be formed at the Multan Dry Port. The multi model transportation at the Sher Shah Junction will provide freight trains which are the cheapest mode of transportation.
