MCC Multan earns Rs.14.2 million from auction of seized vehicles and articles‏

MULTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate Multan has generated Rs 14.28 million from the auction of confiscated vehicles and articles seized by the Anti-Smuggling Organization.

There were 17 vehicles presented in the auction which held at the Model of Customs Collectorate Multan. As much as 16 sixteen vehicles out three different lots of confiscated vehicles are successfully auctioned at the Customs House during open public sale. The participants have shown excessive interest in the participation of vehicles.

The successfully auctioned vehicles include Suzuki Sierra Jeep, Toyota Hilux Surf, Suzuki Alto, Toyota Probox, Honda Civic, Toyota Platz, Toyota Mark X, Toyota Corolla X, Suzuki Jimmy Jeep, Hino Truck and Toyota Raum. One vehicle of   Suzuki Sierra was rejected over less bid from bidders. From all the vehicles Hino truck remained highest with Rs 2.29 million among all the auction vehicles. Auction of 16 confiscated vehicles has generated almost Rs 13.97 million of revenue from the auction.

A large number goods and articles were offered in the auction but four various goods including engine oil of 600 litres, polyvinyl alcohol resin, new tyres of Hung brand and digital satellite receivers were successfully auctioned in Rs 137,000.

There were four cartons of imported clutch plates and kits 25 drums of Iranian grease, 1,300 boxes of confiscated ceramic tiles, 1,864 pieces of different beauty creams, 16 pieces of new tyres, 180 pieces of used tyres, three lots of foreign origin furnace oil containing 30,000, 27,000, 5,000 litres were rejected due to less bid in the auction. The smuggled confiscated vehicles presented in the auction were seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization.

Deputy Collector Dr. Muhammad ALI Malik and Superintendent ASO, Tanvir Ahmad Malik has supervised the process of auction of the confiscated vehicles.
