SIALKOT: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Sialkot has banned the entry of unauthorized persons on its premises.

Sources told Customs Today that these measures are being taken to ensure foolproof security of the collectorate. The officials of Model Customs Collector Sialkot will  ensure that no unauthorized person enters the office premises to represent any clearing agent, importers, exporters, business house or firm to transact business.

The sources said that authorities are directed to enter the name of the representative or CNIC before give permission to enter the premises.

“Any officer dealing with a person other then authorized person shall be held responsible for consequences if any violation of law is detected at subsequent stage,” it said.

The sources said MCC Sialkot will take strict action against entry of irrelevant persons into collectorates premises. The Collector issued directives that visitors to the officials or offices for matters other than pursuing the goods declarations should approach the collectorates reception desk.  The official at the reception desk shall allow the visitor to meet the relevant officer after seeking approval.
