Islamabad customs surpasses CD revenue collection target at 101.79% growth by April

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad exceeded its assigned revenue target at the growth of 101.79% up to April of Financial Year 2016-17 under the head of Customs Duty whereas it surpassed the revenue target at the growth of 100.27% up to April FY16-17 under the head of All Duty Taxes. The MCC Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) exceeded its assigned revenue target at the growth of 148.61% up to April’s Financial Year 2016-17 under the head of Customs Duty while GB surpassed the revenue target at the growth of 152.34% up to April FY16-17 under the head of All Duty Taxes.

According to Sarwat Tahira Habib, Chief Collector North, the performance of the MCC Islamabad stayed surplus during 10 months (July to April) FY16-17. The Customs Collectorate Islamabad assigned revenue target of Rs4428.53million to MCC under the head of CD whereas the collectorate collected surplus amount of Rs4507.61million during 10 months of Financial Year 16-17.
The MCC Islamabad was tasked with revenue collection target of Rs.11110.68 million for 10 months (July to April2016-17) under the head of All Duty Taxes whereas the collectorate exceeded the assigned revenue target with the collection of Rs11140.68million for above said period under the same head.
She lauded MCC GB’s performance with the assigned collection of Rs684.47million while GB generated surplus collection with an amount of Rs1017.19million against the assigned target of CD during 10 months (July to April FY16-17). The GB was assigned Rs1436.77million All Duty Taxes whereas it surpassed the said target with an amount of Rs2188.84million All Duty Taxes during above said period.
