MCCI lauds govt over efforts for GSP Plus status

MULTAN: Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) thanked the Pakistani government for making efforts towards acquiring GSP Plus status.

MCCI President Khawaja Muhammad Usman and Vice President Syed Iftikhar Ali Shah have welcomed the approval of GSP Plus status to Pakistan saying it will certainly pave the way for enhanced exports to Europe.

They expressed hope that it will enhance the country’s exports by at least $2 billion. They also urged Pakistani manufacturers and exporters to focus on producing high-quality products according to European standards so that they could not only maintain their market share but take it to new heights.

They further advised the government to facilitate the business community, particularly the export-oriented industry by ensuring adequate infrastructure along with uninterrupted power supply.
