MCCs to deal with ATT legal matters

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued instructions to all Collectors of Customs regarding ‘ISAF container scam- legacy issues, relating to Afghan Transit Trade’. As per the instructions, all the relevant Model Customs Collectorates (MCCs) will handle all the issues of transit trade including adjudication of Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) cases, their appeals and representation at higher appellate fora.

The Board had clarified that legacy issues relating to ISAF/Nato containers scam prior to functioning of DGTT, will continue to be dealt with by the relevant Model Customs Collectorates. Now, it is further clarified that all legacy matters including adjudication of Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) cases and their remand, appeals and representation at higher appellate fora will be dealt with by the relevant Model Customs Collectorates.
