Meeting of committee on SROs held

ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the committee on concessionary regime of Statutory Regulatory Orders was held in Federal Board of Revenue headquarters. FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa chaired the meeting.

The meeting was attended by the Presidents of Chambers of Commerce throughout Pakistan along with the Commerce Secretary and Secretary of Ministry of Industries.

The meeting was an introductory one and it was decided that all members will make their respective opinion for the concessions and unwanted SROs and develop a verdict for the rationalization of SRO regime. It was also taken into consideration that the next meeting will be organized soon so that the required task would be completed more rapidly.

Secretary Finance did not attend the meeting. Earlier the meeting had to be held in Finance Ministry but due to some urgency of meeting the venue has been changed to FBR headquarters.
