Member Admin Majid Qureshi suspends performance allowance of RTO official

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Member Administration Mohammad Majid Qureshi has suspended the performance allowance of Regional Tax Office (RTO) Inland Revenue official Tariq Mehmood Asad.

Sources told Customs Today that the official is facing the charges of misconduct and misuse of official powers. An inquiry committee was formed to probe all the charges leveled against Tariq Mehmood Asad. The inquiry official in his report declared all the charges as valid.  The inquiry official also recommended to suspend the performance allowance of Tariq Mehmood Asad.

Sources said that RTO official Tariq Mehmood Asad said that all charges against him are baseless and are without any solid evidence. After examining the whole case Member Administration FBR Majid Qureshi decided to suspend the performance allowance of Tariq Mehmood Asad till further orders.
