SIALKOT: Member Inland Revenue Operations Dr Muhammad Irshad has warned non-filers to file their tax returns until February 29, otherwise the authorities will take stern action against them which include three years imprisonment. A huge fine will also be imposed on them under Income Tax Act, he said.
Sources told Customs Today that Dr. Muhammad Irshad said that the data of non filers which includes bank accounts, movable and immovable properties, utility bills and motor vehicles etc is being collected by the government. After the lapse of this scheme, the non filers who failed to file their returns will face huge amount of fine and will also be awarded imprisonment for three years.
