Mepco recovers bills of Rs92.89b during current fiscal year

MULTAN: The Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has recovered bills of over Rs 92.89 billion during the current fiscal year 2016-17 with recovery ratio of 100 per cent.

According to a press release issued here on Monday, Mepco had recovered bills of Rs 92.89 billions from all circles of the region, including Multan, Muzaffargarh, DG Khan, Khanewal, Vehari, Bahawalnager, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Sahiwal during the current fiscal year July 2016 to February 2017.

The Mepco recovered over Rs 47.87 billion from domestic consumers with recovery ratio of 105.10 per cent and Rs11.21 billion from commercial consumers with ratio of 101.41 per cent.

Similarly, bills of Rs 20.21 billion were recovered from industrial consumers with recovery ratio of 89.27 per cent, Rs 2.14 billion from bulk supply consumers with recovery ratio of 91.69 per cent, Rs 11.19 billion from tube well consumers with recovery ratio of 101.76 per cent and Rs over 2.5 million were recovered from other consumers during July 2016 to February 2017.
