Mercedes Benz CLS Class falls within the category of E class and S class. The vehicle along with Mercedes Benz E-400 Cabriolet would be sold as a Complete Built Unit. This is still the second generation model for CLS but it gets some new added cosmetics including revamped bumper and a modified grille that is shaped in the company’s diamond pattern giving it a far more premium and exclusive look. Headlight technology has come a long way in recent years and Mercedes Benz CLS exhibits the same with new internal graphic for its own. The headlight now has the option of multibeam LED technology that can alter the light path and protect other vehicles from getting overwhelmed by its intensity. In case you want to opt for the regular LEDs, the option is available as well.

For the interiors, the chief upgrades include a more refined infotainment system that works with a 8 inch display along with a new three spoke steering wheel. Not much has changed as far as the mechanics of the vehicle is concerned as it contains a 2143cc diesel engine churning out 204bhp maximum power and 500Nm torque. The vehicle would continue to use a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox.
On the other hand you have the Mercedes Benz E400 Cabriolet that is much more of a halo car and is designed to give you that wind-in-your-hair kind of feel. The removable top and staggering looks of this convertible makes Mercedes Benz E400 Cabriolet a true winner. The convertible is based on the E Class sedan but it does have a totally different aura of its own. The large air dam in the sporty bumper catches your eyes first but it is the large three-pointed-star that sets the tone of this exquisitely designed car. The beautiful headlights and single-slat mesh grille really makes the front fascia a complete delight. In comparison to the E-Class sedan Mercedes Benz E400 Cabriolet has two doors instead of four that the former features.

Inside the cabin, there are loads of new and modern features to bank on including Mercedes’ very own COMAND interface. Other notable feature includes AIRCAP along with the retractable deflector on the top of the windscreen that mitigates the in-cabin noise when the roof is down by a substantial margin, forcing the airflow in the upward direction on higher speed.
Mechanically speaking, this is a powerful car that can go from 0 to 100kmph in just 5.3 seconds. Power to run comes from a 3 litre V6 turbo petrol engine that is backed by 6 cylinders generating 328bhp at 5250 to 6000rpm along with 480Nm torque at 1200 to 4000rpm. Mercedes Benz E400 Cabriolet is mated with a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
