NEW DELHI: At the beginning of the year, Mercedes-Benz India had said that this was a ’15 in 15′ year and they’ve been on a roll since. We’ve already seen 9 launches this year and in fact they launched three of them in one day. Well, there’s another one coming and this time it’s the S63 AMG sedan.

The company will launch the car on August 11 and though the S63 AMG will see limited sales in India, this will be Mercedes’ ninth car in their AMG portfolio. The AMG version of the S-Class gets a more aggressive stance and gets a sportier front bumper with larger air intakes. The rear bumper comes with an inbuilt diffuser and we’ll get to see the quad exhaust setup on this one.

Then there are the wheels which are 20-inch ones and they add to the sporty look of the car. Expect to see it come with some fancy colours too as it is likely to feature the Designo program for both exterior and interior customization.

Finally, we come to what the S63 AMG is all about – the heart is a 5.5-litre V8 AMG, might I add turbocharged, churning out 576bhp and a massive 900Nm of torque. Thanks to all that power 0-100km/h is done in just 4.4 seconds while the top speed is limited to 250km/h.

The Mercedes-AMG S63 when launched will compete against the likes of the Bentley Flying Spur, BMW 760Li and even the Maserati Quattroporte.
