LONDON: Recently, voice actor, David Hayter mentioned of this involvement in the upcoming MGS game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Apparently his statement meant that he will reprise his role as Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Here’s more on the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Release Date.

In last January 15 the voice actor’s tweet have confused fans of the game, as he says that he’ll come back as Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. When a fan asked for a clarification, about if it’s safe to assume that he will be the voice of Solid Snake, his response was further confusing, as he replied saying, “I’m not ‘not allowed’ to not tell anyone about anything. This tweet merely meant that I have no restrictions on commenting on games I’m not in.”

Seriously though, a simple “yes” or “no” would have sufficed.

Since 2008, David Hayter is the voice actor for Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid. But then Hideo Kojima (Creator and Main Producer of the Metal Gear franchise) has been doing some changes recently and have Kiefer Sutherland (24 actor) take on the voice of “The Phantom Pain”. However, Kojima is known for his publicity stunts like in past MGS2 he hid the character information of the game until it’s really near the release date.

Murano (writer from Gamers Syndrome) claimed that Kojima once deceived gamers into thinking that “Phantom Pain” is not the subtitle for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V, he did this by pretending there’s a character named Joakim Mogren. With all these trickery, Murano claimed that there is still a possibility that David Hayter is involved in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

It is not just Murano who recalls  the MGS creator’s trickery, Gaming Bolt also made mention of a one incident when Hayter was teased to return to MGS back in December last year, there were voice recording found in the PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Heroes that were allegedly David Hayter’s voice.

More confirmation of Hayter’s involvement were disclosed as Quinton Flynn (friend of Hayter and voice of Raiden) have mentioned that indeed David Hayter will be the voice for Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and that Sutherland was us going to be Big Boss.

So far there is no clear confirmation from Kojima whether David Hayter will be involved in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. But the creator of the game will be in Taipei Games Show by January 31, so let’s hope there’ll be more spoilers by then.
