Mevius Final Fantasy mobile game, first teasers issued, really impressive, to be release later in 2015

TORONTO: Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase and writer Kazushige Nojima are working on the company’s next big smartphone game, Mevius Final Fantasy, which features classic jobs from the series, Moogles, and more. Here’s a first look at a video shown during GDC 2015.

The game has finally received its first gaeplay footage today. The footage has been included in a new video released for GDC2015 showcasing games using the Unity 5 engine. The Mevius Final Fantasy footage can be found at the 2:41 mark.

Mevius Final Fantasy is going to come with plenty of features taken from classic entries of the series like the Job System and more. The game is also going to feel closer to console entries of the series, as the team includes staff that has worked on older entries of the series such as Yoshinori Kitase, Kazushige Nojima and others.

Mevius Final Fantasy will be released on a yet to be confirmed release date in Japan. A Western release has yet to be confirmed but there’s a good chance the game will eventually be released in North America and Europe. We will keep you updated on the matter as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news.
