Mexican Currency exchange rate remains 16.17 pesos per $1

MEXICAN: The exchange rate was about 16.17 pesos per $1 a change of about 10 percent from the beginning of the year.

Business at Sunny Perfume on E. San Ysidro Blvd. is both in dollars and pesos. Proprietor Sonia Gakhreja sees regular customers from both sides of the border. In the office next door, the price of pesos changes regularly.

The prices at Sunny Perfumes, a shop in San Ysidro that sells to small business owners from Mexico, haven’t changed much in the last year.
