MEXICO CITY: According to figures released by the AMIA, Mexico vehicle output fell 5.8% in July versus June, to the lowest level since August 2014.
Meanwhile, vehicle exports rose a slight 0.4% mom in July, which failed to compensate for the 6.6% mom drop reported in June.
Higher export sales in July were driven by a 2.7% monthly increase in exports to North America, which compensated for the 5.8% drop in exports to the rest of the world.
In annual terms, output and exports fell 2.0% on the seasonally adjusted series.
