Mian Anjum calls for early construction of Kalabagh Dam

LAHORE: Decision of continuous electricity supply to the industrial sector would not only give breathing space to the industry but would also increase GDP and national exports.

This was stated by the candidate for FPCCI President Mian Anjum Nisar while talking to a delegation of industrialists here on Tuesday.

He said that decision would go a long way for revival of economic activities in the country.

He said that business community had already conveyed to the government that massive load shedding was not viable at the moment when the industry was facing various challenges.

Mian Anjum Nisar said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif deserves appreciation for taking care of the industrial sector and business community hopes that the prime minister would continue to support in future as well.

He also urged the government to start new venture in energy sector in collaboration with China that would ensure cheap electricity in the country

He also stressed the need for early construction of Kalabagh Dam.
