Mianwali ASO impounds non customs paid Hino truck

MIANWALI: The Anti -Smuggling Organization(ASO) impounded illegally imported foreign origin Hino truck worth Rs1.9 million involving duty and taxes to the tune of Rs1.7 million.

Sources told to Customs Today that ASO authorities received credible information regarding smuggling of Hino truck which was brought into country through illegal way. Soon after receiving the information ASO constituted a raiding party comprising Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad which also includes Superintendent Sardar Muhammad Inspector Tanveerul Haq Amer and Sepoy Ghulam Mohyuddin

The ASO team intercepted a Hino truck bearing registration No LXP-1603 at M.M. Alam Road. The team asked the owner Muhammad Shahbaz to produce documents regarding legal import of vehicle but he failed to produce the documents. Upon his failure the raiding party seized the vehicles. Further proceedings are still under progress till the filing of this report.
