Mianwali ASO impounds non-duty paid Toyota Fielder worth Rs1.36m

FAISALABAD: The Custom Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Mianwali station impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Fielder worth Rs1.36 million involving duty and taxes Rs7,10,620 during an operation.

According to details, the ASO team on the information provided by Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad intercepted a non-duty paid Toyota Fielder, silver color bearing registration No: IDN-6175 model-2004 automatic, near Musa Khail, Pindi Road, Mianwali.

The ASO staff asked the drive, who was later identified as Javed Iqbal Son of Khan Amir Khan a resident of Mianwali, to provide legal documents regarding import and possession of the vehicle. But he could not provide any required documents.

After his failure, the ASO staff impounded the vehicle following the customs law Section-2(s) read with SRO-566(1) 2005, Section-16 and 18 of the Customs Act-1969.

The ASO team took part in the said seizure was comprised Superintendent Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Inspector Muhammad Umar Bhatti, Driver Riasat Hussain and Sepoys Faiz Ahmed, Muhammad Abdullah.
