Mianwali ASO impounds non-duty paid Toyota Hiace worth Rs 4.5m

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Mianwali has seized a non duty paid Toyota Hiace (STD- Roof ), bearing registration no TR- 123- (Islamabad). The market value of seized vehicle is Rs 4,500,000 involving customs duty and taxes Rs 1,110,903.

Sources informed to Customs Today that ASO team comprising Superintendent Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Umar Bhatti, Muhammad Mansha, Azhar Hussain Jafri, (inspector), Ashraf Khan (havaldar ) Sher Ahmad, Muhammad Amin, Muhammad Yousaf (sepoys) and Riasat Hussain driver on their routine checking found a Toyota Hiace near Harnoli city district Mainwali.

The vehicle was physically examined and checked in the presence of the staff and found nothing available in it except bogus copy of registration book mentioning name of Mohammad Amjad son of Sher Mohammad.  ASO team seized the vehicle and forward the case to customs adjudication.
