Mianwali ASO impounds Toyota Hiace worth Rs2m

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Mianwali has seized a non-duty-paid Toyota Hiace Ambulance with registration No: JF- 6952 (Karachi) in golden colour. The market value of the seized vehicle is Rs02.00million involving customs duty and taxes of Rs01.4million.

The ASO team, comprising Superintendent Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Mehmood Ahmed Dogar, Azhar Hussain Jafri, (Inspector), Ashraf Khan (Hawaldar) Sher Ahmad, Muhammad Amin, Muhammad Yousaf (sepoys) and Riasat Hussain (Driver), found a Toyota Hiace Ambulance near Chasma Barrage, district Mianwali.

The vehicle was thoroughly examined and checked in the presence of the staff but nothing was found in it except bogus copy of a registration book mentioning the name of Asif Khushhal son of Muhammad Khushhal Khan, a resident of Talagang, district Chakwal.

The ASO team seized the vehicle and forward the case to the customs adjudication.
