FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), Mianwali impounded a non-duty paid used Benz Truck worth Rs 7 million involving duty and tax amounting to Rs 1.641 million.
Following credible information received through Collector Dr Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary, a ASO team comprising Superintendent Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Inspector Muhammad Asif, Sepoys Faiz Ahmed and Ghulam Mohy-ud- Din conducted raid to impound the non-duty paid vehicles.
The team intercepted a truck bearing Registration No KBL-4629 near Kala Bagh Road, Mainwali and asked driver of the vehicle to produce documents regarding legal possession of the vehicle, but he failed to produce the same.
Therefore, the officials impounded the vehicle and arrested the accused person named Mir Bakhat Khan.
