Mianwali ASO impounds used Jimny Jeep worth Rs420000

FAISALABAD: The Mianwali Anti-Smuggling Organization ( ASO ) has impounded a foreign origin used Suzuki Jimny Sierra jeep in Mianwali city. The market value of the jeep is Rs 420000 involving customs duty and taxes of Rs208046.

Deputy Collector (DC) ASO Mianwali Muhammad Rizwan received a tip-ff regarding the smuggling of the vehicle. Deputy Collector constituted a raiding team comprising Superintendent Sardar Muhammad, Inspector Azhar Hussain Jafri, Sepoys Muhammad Umar Bhatti and Ghulam Mohyuddin, Faiz Ahmed, Muhammad Yousif and Sher Ahmed.

The ASO team conducted a raid on Toll Plaza Road, district Mianwali, and intercepted a suspicious vehicle with registration No: B-2897- D.I Khan, modelled 1994. The raiding team asked its owner Abdul Latif son of Ghulam Saddique to produce legal documents regarding the possession of the car but he failed to do so.

The ASO team seized the Sierra Jiminy Jeep and registered a case against the owner of the vehicle. A seizure report along with its annexure has been submitted to deputy collector (DC), adjudication.
