Mianwali ASO seized generator worth Rs 1.2 million

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organisation Mianwali has seized used generator worth Rs 1.2 million, besides impounding the vehicle worth Rs 900,000 being used for transportation of smuggled items as no one appeared before competent authority to prove the legal import of the said item.

As per details, ASO team acting on information conveyed through the Additional Collector.Omer Bin Zafer Chattah intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. E-6114 near Kotla Jam in Bhakkar district and recovered a made in US generator of 150 KVA.

The ASO staff asked to accused persons Abdul Wakeel resident of Chashma Road Himunt District D.I.Khan (Owner of Generator) And Qamar Abbas resident of Thoya Sial P.O. Sadar Bazar District D.I.KHAN. (Owner of vehicle) to produce any documentary evidence showing the legal import and lawful possession of the generator, but he could not produce any documents relating to its legal import or lawful possession.

ASO team comprising Inspector Azhar Hussain Jafri, Nazir hussain Jafri, Muhammad Saifullah, Muhammad Ghulam Mohyuddin and others took part is raid.
