Mianwali ASO seizes smuggled drilling machine worth Rs9.5m

MIANWALI: Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized foreign origin drilling machine worth Rs 9.5 million  The ASO team  also confiscated Hino truck under section 157 of the Customs Act 1969 which was being used for smuggling.

As per details ASO has intercepted Hnio truck bearing registration no TKQ-465 near Toll Plaza M M Alam Road district Mianwali and recovered foreign origin drilling machine loaded on Hino truck.

Anti Smuggling Organization team was doing its surveillance on the road at the time of capturing the Smuggled goods. Smuggled goods brought into country without payment of duty taxes through unthorized routes to avoid law enforcement agencies action. The Customs Superintendent asked the owner Muhammad Khalid to show documents regarding legally import of the Drilling machine but he remained fail failed to do so.

An advance information report has been lodged against the owner of smuggled machine after seizing it.
