Mianwali ASO takes into possession abandoned Toyota Hiace worth Rs02m

MIANWALI: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Mianwali has impounded a non-duty-paid Toyota Hiace Ambulance with registration No: JF-6952 (Karachi) in golden colour. The market value of the vehicle is Rs02million involving customs duty and taxes of Rs1.4million.

The ASO team, comprising Mehmood Ahmed Dogar, Azhar Hussain Jafri, (Inspector), Ashraf Khan (Hawaldar) Sher Ahmad, Muhammad Amin, Muhammad Yousaf (sepoys) and Riasat Hussain (Driver), found a Toyota Hiace Ambulance near Chashma Barrage, district Mianwali.

The vehicle was thoroughly examined in the presence of the staff but nothing was found in it except a bogus copy of a registration book mentioning the name of Muhammad Asif son of Muhammad Khan, a resident of Talagang, district Chakwal.

The team took the vehicle into possession and forwarded the case to the customs adjudication.
