NEW DELHI: The Indian smartphone market is flooding with the mid-ranged handsets in it. Continuing to the tap, Micromax has launched its Canvas Nitro 4G smartphone with a price tag of Rs. 10,999.
Commenting on the launch, Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax Informatics, said, “India is at the tipping point of 4G revolution and we expect the consumers to skip 3G and directly leap forward to 4G LTE connectivity. With the launch of Canvas Nitro 4G, we aim to bring a perfect combination of technology, rich features and a faster 4G experience at a great value to more and more consumers.”
The Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G is a dual-sim mobile phone handset based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 octa-core processor coupled with a 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Micromax has provided a 16GB of onboard storage, which is expandable up to 32GB by using a microSD card.
The device is fronted with a 5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels of resolution and Oleophobic coating protection on it and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera placed above the display panel; meanwhile, the back panel boasts a 13-megapixel primary picture capturing tool with dual LED flash, over the leaf.
It is also bundled with a 2,500mAh of battery that is claimed to deliver a full day battery backup on standard usage. The phone includes connectivity options like 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and 3.5 audio jacks.
The Canvas Nitro 4G handset is third in a row to be unveiled, as earlier this month the firm has already announced its Canvas Selfie 2 and Canvas Selfie 3 handsets, targeting this festival. In addition, the company’s portfolio of mid-ranged affordable handsets boasts more than 35 devices, launched since last year.
