MUMBAI: Micromax is up to something big, and apparently that something big happens to be a Redmi 2 competitor which the company will be selling at a price under Rs 6000. Equipped with similar specs to those of the popular Xiaomi handset, this device could be released by the end of this month by the Gurgaon-based firm.
Although the exact hardware of the upcoming Micromax handset is still unknown, we’ve been told that it will carry onboard a display measuring somewhere between 4.3 to 5 inches. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a quad core processor, but the chipset on which this CPU will be sitting is not clear.
The new phone is expected to be priced at Rs 6,000. It will most likely sport a display size between 4.3-inch to 5-inch and it will be powered by a quad core processor.
The new product from Micromax is also expected to offer similar features are are seen on the entry level phones from Xiaomi, Lenovo and Motorola.
The tweet seems like a marketing activity by both Snapdeal and Micromax Mobiles, as the teaser has been released as a response to a query by Snapdeal, which has Snapdeal’s tagline in the question. Micromax hasn’t mentioned any specs in the tweets. However, if you can solve the riddle that Micromax has tweeted, you will be eligible for a prize, most likely the to-be-launched device itself.
