Micromax Yu Yureka sets new record, sold 25,000 units in 5 seconds only

MUMBAI: Yu Yureka was up for sale for the fifth time on Amazon India, where the company managed to sell nearly 25,000 units of the handset to registered users in a mere 5 seconds.

The sixth flash sale is scheduled for February 19, and the registration window for the next week’s sale is now open. This was the first time Yu made available 25,000 units, the most so far. Its previous sales saw 10,000 to 15,000 units being sold out at the blink of an eye.

So far, the company has managed to sell 75,000 units since its launch in India. The last four sales saw the Yureka going out of stock in 3-4 seconds respectively.

The Yu Yureka is popular thanks to the set of specifications and LTE connectivity it offers at Rs 8,999. To recap, it sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 64-bit capability and paired with 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone also features 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card. Furthermore, the smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on CyanogenMod OS 11 based on Android KitKat.
