LONDON: Microsoft has recently announced the availability of Project Spartan for Windows Insiders as part of the latest Windows 10 Technical Preview build for PCs.

The Project Spartan comes with built-in Cortana, a virtual personal assistant. However, for now Cortana will be available only in the US version of the build and will be made available more broadly later.

Additionally, the new web browser comes with new inking and sharing capabilities. The browser allows a user to write or type directly on the page, comment on what’s interesting or clip what you want then easily share this “Web Note” via mail, or a social network.

Microsoft has also worked to manage the problem of excess of information on the web and has sorted it by introducing Reading List and Reading view, which collects and organises important content for a user. Also, some changes have been made to the Project Spartan’s rendering engines for the modern Web, which can be seen in the new build.

However, it is to be noted that the preview version is only made available for testing and feedback and is not the final version of the web browser. Microsoft is still working on the Project Spartan and will be adding more features and improvements to the same.
