NEW YORK: Microsoft has introduced Windows 10 technical preview with the company’s much anticipated browser codenamed Project Spartan. The company has also released a video emphasising on various features that are unique to the browser.

“Today, we’re excited to announce that Project Spartan is available for the first time for Windows Insiders to try out as part of the latest Windows 10 Technical Preview build for PCs.

According to Microsoft, the new browser will be a refreshing take on how we use the “ever-evolving web.” With features like Web Note and Cortana the browser will offer something that most of its competitors don’t. The company mentioned that the browser is “made for easy sharing, reading, discovery and getting things done online.”

The Web Note feature will help the consumer to make notes or highlight a certain section of the webpage without leaving the page. It will be helpful in making instant annotations and sharing the information with others.

Cortana integration will also be a nifty feature on the browser. It will help with constant assistance within the browser to provide a more personal yet functional experience. For now, Cortana will feature only in the US versions of the build but will soon be released globally.

To download the latest build one will have to subscribe to the Windows Insider program and Microsoft has also made provisions for the users to send direct feedback for a better computing experience.

While subscribing to the Windows Insider program one will have to keep in mind that the new Windows 10 OS is still in the nascent stage and will take some time to finalise the build and deliver a refined user experience. The Redmond-based company had also announced last week that they will soon start rolling out a new Windows 10 build for phones.
