LONDON: Microsoft is yet to say anything but rumor has it that the company is planning to develop a Surface Phone, that will of course use Windows 10 and will take over Windows Phone.

The software giant is keeping things close to the chest but we have a new report claiming that Surface Phone is going to feature Intel Atom X3 processor.

The device is rumored to arrive something in mid 2016. The report claims that X3 already supports Windows 10. Other rumors say that there is going to be a metallic design which is similar to Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book.

If Surface Phone ever becomes a reality, it may feature the iris sensor, USB Type-C and of course Win32 apps. In short, you can think of it as a mini PC in your hands.

Surface brand isn’t the most popular among users so it is very much possible that instead of targeting general consumers, Microsoft will market Surface Phone to business sector.

Given that Blackberry is pretty much death, Surface Phone might actually become a decent replacement for professionals.

Let’s wait and see how things go, check back with us for more updates.
