ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan, while marking the International Earth Day, has called for green economy to minimise the vulnerability of the country to climate change.
Addressing the event at the Centre for Climate Research and Development (CCRD), COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, the minister said that Pakistan can be put on the path to sustainable development through efficient and environment-friendly use of the natural resources.
The event, organised by the CCRD, was attended by climate scientists, researchers, academicians and students in a large number.
On this occasion, the minister also planted a seedling to mark the earth day, saying that trees are must for protection of earth and sustainability of life on it.
