Minister Muqam, FinMin Aurangzeb discuss taxation issues in KP

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam, here on Thursday, held a detailed meeting with Federal Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb and discussed important economic and taxation issues related to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the meeting, both ministers held detailed discussions on the implementation of taxes in the erstwhile FATA, PATA and Malakand divisions, said a press release.

Amir Muqam emphasized that the residents of these areas had rendered immense sacrifices during the war against terrorism and were still recovering from its socio-economic impacts.

Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb listened carefully to the concerns and proposals presented by Amir Muqam and assured him that the government would review the relevant matters.

The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to engaging with stakeholders and addressing concerns regarding economic policies affecting vulnerable regions and key sectors of the national economy.
