Minnesota Chamber state largest business lobbies group 2,400 member companies

NEW YORK: Doug Loon, an executive at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s regional office in Eden Prairie, will become the next president of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce Sept. 8.Based in St. Paul; the Minnesota Chamber is the state’s largest business lobbying group, representing about 2,400 member companies.

It has been without a full time leader since long time president David Olson died of cancer last summer. Loon, 50, joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 1995. He most recently served as vice president for public affairs in the Midwestern office in Eden Prairie.
