KARACHI: Customs Adjudication-I has issued show cause to M/s Zeeshan Textile for for evading taxes/duties in import of silk cloth. The company imported 12 consignments of silk cloths through mis-declaration and availed undue benefits.

Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of the clearance data it was revealed that M/s Zeeshan Textile cleared the consignments through mis-declarations. The Customs authorities also prepared contraventions reports but due to some reasons these reports are still pending. Now the Customs Appraisement-West authorities, after making some amendments, again sent these reports to the Customs Adjudication.
