KARACHI: Mis-declaration in clearance of six imported consignments through Transit Pass revealed at MCC Port Qasim. These consignments were being sent to different dry ports of the country.
Sources told Customs Today, when Department of CIU of MCC Port Qasim conduct surprise inspections of different consignments, which were imported from China and other countries, they found a lot of mis-declaration in these consignments. Through mis-declaration, attempts were made to clear these consignments from different dry ports of the country by showing low values of the imported items.
Sources said that this practice is being done from quite a marginable time. Now theMCC Port Qasim passed on strict instructions to thoroughly conduct examinations of imported items.
