The sources further said that the FBR chief had clear directives to collect comprehensive and complete data of the imported arms to present it before the Supreme Court.

The sources informed this scribe that the authorities in Pakistan Customs had collected the entire data of the imported arms and ammunition from the record books of the arms and ammunition dealers of the city.

It is pertinent to mention here that it would be the third hearing of missing containers case in the Supreme Court during the month of November. The previous two hearings were held on November 1 and November 11 in which the SC expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of FBR, ANF and other related agencies in missing containers case, as they did not compile an adequate data in this regard.

The apex court in its interim order on November 11 ordered FBR and other authorities concerned to present the entire record of the imported arms and ammunition since 2007 in the next hearing.

It may be mentioned here that it was revealed before the court earlier that the containers of smuggled arms and ammunitions were entered and sold out in Karachi.

It was also revealed that there were 39 entry and exit points of the city through sea, among those only seven points were guarded by Pakistan Customs.
