Missing Person Commission settles 3,734 cases till March

ISLAMABAD: Missing Person Commission settled 3734 cases out of 5915 cases till March 31 due to personal efforts of Justice ® Javed Iqbal.

A report issued by the commission stated that till February the Commission received 5853 cases while 62 cases were filed during the month of March 2019. So the total number of cases touched to 5915. The Commission settled 75 cases during the month of March, now the total number of pending cases are 2181.

The report stated that during March inquiry commission conducted hearing of 706 cases, in which 272 cases were heard in Islamabad, 147 in Peshawar, 202 in Karachi and 85 cases were heard in Lahore. .

Till March 31, 3734 disappeared persons were safely recovered and handed over to their relatives. Justice ® Javed Iqbal personally hear the personally hear the point of view of the relatives of disappeared persons.

It is necessary to mention here that Justice ® Javed Iqbal not drawing any salary and financial privileges as chairman of commission and performing his duties purely as Pakistani citizen.
