Mitsubishi Outlander price drops $200 to $23,845

TOKYO: The Japanese automaker has reduced the price for the seven-passenger crossover 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander has dropped $200 to $23,845, including destination.

Buyers will now get more with their 2016 Outlander, as the list of standard features has expanded to include other niceties such as LED taillights, 18-inch wheels, and a nicer interior with more soft-touch materials inside, including a redesigned steering wheel, new accent trim on the doors and dashboard, and upgraded seating and headliner material. Other standard features include automatic climate control; an ECO mode; a tilting and telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise controls; a leather-wrapped shift knob; a six-speaker, 140-watt audio system with Fuse Hands-Free Link System and USB port; power windows, door locks, and mirrors; and 60/40 split second-row seats and 50/50 split third-row seats.

2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Side Profile The 2016 Outlander also features improved second-row seating. On the outside, the new Outlander looks more modern with a new corporate face, with a more aggressive front fascia with Mitsubishi’s new “Dynamic Shield” design language.

Among all the other improvements, the 2016 Outlander was redesigned with an improved chassis and drivetrain. The base engine is a 2.4-liter I-4 with 166 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque mated to a CVT, with front- or all-wheel drive available. Pricing for the top-spec GT model, which features a 224-hp, 215-lb-ft 3.0-liter V-6 mated to six-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive, has not yet been announced. Watch for the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander to arrive in dealers soon.
