BUDAPEST: Hungarian oil and gas company MOL on Friday announced a new oil and gas discovery it made in Pakistan.
An exploration well in the TAL block, which MOL operates, flowed at a rate of 2,020 barrels of oil per day and 900 barrels of oil equivalent per day during testing. Gross production at the TAL block stands at over 80,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The discovery is MOL’s eighth in the TAL block and its twelfth in Pakistan, where it has three blocks.
MOL’s partners in the block are OGDC, PPL, POL and GHPL. Average daily hydrocarbon production of all of MOL’s licences reached 103,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day last year.
