More laptops to be provided to student during current year: CM

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presided over a high level meeting, here Friday, which considered the matters regarding purchase of laptops for boy and girl students.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that thousands of students were benefitting from laptop scheme of the Punjab government and by giving laptops to talented students, the Punjab government had granted them their right.

Shehbaz Sharif said that use of modern technology was the need of the hour, therefore, the Punjab government had launched laptop scheme for students and had provided millions of laptops worth billions of rupees to boy and girl students so far. He said that this step of provincial government was helping in empowerment of students. He said that more laptops would be given to students during current fiscal year.

The Chief Minister said that the process of procurement of laptops should be completed as early as possible.

Provincial Ministers Rana Mashhood Ahmed, Syed Raza Ali Gillani, Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Chief Secretary, Advisor Dr. Umer Saif and concerned authorities attended the meeting while Chairman Planning & Development participated through video link.
