RIO GRANDE CITY: Rio Grande City Border Patrol Agents apprehended 102 undocumented aliens on Tuesday. Immigrants apprehended by Rio Grande City Agents
Agents working near Fronton observed more than 80 undocumented aliens cross the Rio Grande in rafts. A short time later, the agents observed another large group of undocumented aliens make their way north and converge with the initial group. Agents with the assistance of the Mobile Response Team, pilots with Air and Marine Operations and Texas Department of Public Safety’s Air Unit along with Rio Grande Valley Sector Riverine Units apprehended 102 illegal immigrants. The immigrants consisted of 73 men, 12 women and 17 juveniles.

Smugglers are ruthless and continuously place the lives of immigrants in danger. RGV Sector urges immigrants to not jeopardize their lives by illegally entering the United States or by attempting to circumvent a checkpoint.
