FAISALABAD: More than 80% of soap production units are involved in tax theft. The firms did not obtained Sales Tax Registration Certificates from Regional Tax offices. The remaining 20% firms did not pay even 10% of their actual tax. RTO Faisalabad has collected 6 million Sales taxes from these firms. The taxes waere collected from Punjab Soap Factory worth Rs 2 million, New Punjab Soap Factory worth Rs 2 million and Itmad Soap Factory worth Rs 1.6 million.
