RABAT: Unemployment in Morocco rose to 10 percent by the end of March compared with 9.9 percent a year earlier, as the economy lost 13,000 jobs over the 12 months, official data showed on Thursday.
Severe drought hit the Moroccan agricultural sector and farmers had to reduce their workforce by a total 28,000 over the 12 months to March 2016, the country’s planning authority (HCP) said.
