NEW DELHI: The Moto G (2015) may appear in July 2015. During the TechWorld event in Beijing, China in May 2015, Yang Yuanqing, Lenovo’s Chief Executive, shared the possible release of the new Motorola Moto G. He said that they have several new models in development with the Moto brands, so people should expect to find a number of exciting products, phones and watches in the summer. Yang did not mention the Moto G 2015 specifically, but there were clues that the Moto X 2015 and next generation Moto 360 Smartwatch were in the works.
FlipKart listed an upcoming version of the third generation Moto G with model number Ap3560AD1K8. Its predecessor, the Moto G 2, was released 10 months after the first generation Moto G was launched. If the trend continues, the Moto G (2015) might be available in July 2015, according to a report. So far, the online listing has already been taken out.
Day Herald reported that the Moto G (2015) will be an upgraded version of the September 2014 model. The Smartphone may feature a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 610 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a display measuring 5 or 5.2 inches with a 1080p screen resolution and 4G LTE connectivity. The device is also said to run on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box. The Moto G (2015) may even have a 16-megapixel rear camera.
Android Pit wrote that the Moto G 4G will be available in all-black and all-white colors. The rear is removable and has a simple matte appearance. The design is very similar to the second generation Moto G. The front of the phone features Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There is a SIM card and microSD slot below the back cover. The battery is non-removable. The device also has an internal storage capacity of 8GB, upgradeable via a microSD card.
Being a budget Smartphone, the third generation Moto G wills most likely retail at $200. Some of the drawbacks of the device include average processing power, speed and performance. There are reports that the Moto G does not perform well with the latest update of the Android Lollipop. The Smartphone also has a big HD screen, so the battery life is expected to suffer as a result. Overall, the Moto G (2015) is a decent entry-level Smartphone that will provide users with the basic features. Its predecessors have served users well in the past and the upcoming model is expected to do the same.
