NEW DELHI: Motorola has just announced its latest after-sales service called Moto Xpress. The pilot project for this service will begin in New Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida.

This home pick-up and drop service from Motorola will aim to rectify any software and accessories related issues within an hour. For phone related hardware issues, Motorola says the Moto Xpress will resolve the issue within 5 working days. But the service will come at a cost – Rs 199 per service.

“In case, an issue arises with your Motorola smartphone, you can dial our Moto Xpress Service Booking number ‘011-41717124’. As you register your request, our service staff will reach out to a trained Motorola representative who will be at your doorstep on his bike,” says the press statement.

Motorola already has around 160 service centres throughout the country. Though the company doesn’t plan to go offline, it had opened the first ‘Moto Care’ flagship center in India, earlier this year. Located on Jayanagar road, Bangalore, the Moto Care center is spread across 3000 sq. ft. and claims to provide best-in-class service and support to customers along with an Experience zone for those who want to try out Motorola phones before buying them online.

Recently, Motorola launched the 3rd generation Moto G along with two variants of the Moto X – namely the Moto X Play and the Moto X Style. While the Moto G has already started selling in the Indian market, the Moto X variants have to yet get an Indian pricing and launch dates.
