MUMBAI: The older and newer versions of Motorola Moto G handsets in the Indian market are going to get the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop updates.

The new version of the handset is already extremely better than the previous version and the new operating system update will give both the handsets much needed improvement in their performances. The best part of the update is the fact that the upgrade is already underway.

The upgrade is actually over the air and so it is all the easier for users to be upgraded without any hitch. A tweet from the company says that the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade is being seeded in phases; so users might not see the new firmware hit their device right away.

Both, the new and the older versions are going to get the same upgrade and both will see massive enhancements in their working and performance. Users will be offered the same Material Design UI, better power management, lock screen notifications and higher security among other things.

The handset comes with very impressive specifications for the price it is offered. The second generation Moto G comes with 5 inches display, 8MP rear camera, front-facing speakers and a microSD card slot. The first gen Moto G comes with 4.5 inch display and 5MP rear camera. Its memory is also not expandable.
