M/s Joy Foam’s director files post-bail plea in Customs Court

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs, Taxation and Anti Smuggling has adjourned the hearing of the post-arrest bail plea filed by Hassan Javed, the director of M/s Joy Foam, until the next hearing. The suspect is facing charges of huge tax evasion.

Earlier, the Special Court of Customs, Taxation and Anti-Smuggling remanded the suspect into the Customs Investigation’s custody for 10 days.

A First Information report was registered against him under Section 2 (37) of Sales Tax Act, 1990 and a Customs team presented him before the court on February 25. The officials sought his physical remand for interrogation, which was granted by the court.
