M/s Sagheer Enterprises approaches SHC seeking filing fresh TP permit

KARACHI: M/s Sagheer Enterprises approached the Sindh High Court (SHC) for acceptance of his application for cancellation of transhipment permit and for filing a fresh TP for destination to the customs NLC Dry Port Quetta.

On January 2, 2019, counsel for the petitioner stated in his constitutional petition that petitioner in the normal course of business is active importer & exporter and imported a consignment of auto spare parts and other goods, which arrived at Karachi Port.

He further submitted that he filed the transhipment permit before the customs authority destined for customs NLC Dry Port Quetta, however, he was informed by manufacturer that some exported goods are wrongly loaded in its consignment, therefore, the petitioner immediately approached the concerned staff of respondents, for cancellation of TP through letter dated 16/07/2018 as well as through WeBOC system on dated 16/07/2018.

He argued that officials of the respondents are not allowed for cancellation of the TP and lodged an FIR against petitioner.

Citing Chairman Federal Board of Revenue and Collector of Customs MCC Appraisement East as respondents, petitioner pleaded the court may direct them to issue delay detention certificate and further directed the return of 03 pay orders to the petitioner or send to the model collectorate of customs Quetta against the duty and taxes in respect of imported goods.

He further pleaded the court may accept his application for cancellation of the TP and allow for filing a fresh TP for destination to the customs NLC Dry Port Quetta.
